I will overwhelm 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two time world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the customary confrontation, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
